포경수술할 때 쓰는 기구

남아의 자지의 끝 부분을 귀두라고 한다. 귀두를 둘러싼 피부를 포피라고 한다. 포피를 떼어내는 수술을 포경수술이라고 한다. 남아가 태어나기 전 엄마 아빠는 남아의 자지를 포경수술을 해줄 것인지 결정해야 한다.

과거 미국 소아과학회에서는 남아의 자지를 위생적으로 깨끗이 해 주기 위해 포경수술을 해 주는 것을 권장했었으나, 요즘은 포경수술은 꼭 해줄 필요가 없다고 권장한다.

그렇지만 지금도 “포경수술을 해줘야한다” “해줄 할 필요가 없다”는 상반되는 주장이 있고 “포경수술을 받으면 건겅상 좋다 나쁘다” 찬반론이 의학계에서는 분분하다. 이 찬반논란은 끝이 나지 않을 것이다.

엄마, 아빠는 산부인과 전문의나 소아과 전문의와 상의한 후 포경수술을 해 주는 것을 결정해야 한다. 병원 진료 규정이나 의사의 진료 철학에 따라 포경수술은 소아과 전문의가 하든지 산부인과 전문의가 한다. 포경수술을 받지 않았다고 해서 자지의 끝 부분(귀두)를 덮고 있는 포피를 일부러 까줄 필요는 없고, 또 포피로 덮여있는 자지의 끝 부분(귀두)을 부모가 일부러 까서 닦아줄 필요도 없다.

포경수술로 생긴 환부가 다 나을 때까지 자지를 잘 간호해야 한다. 포경 수술을 받은 자지 부위에서 피가 나는지 관찰한다.

포경수술을 받은 환부를 깨끗이 처치하고 대변 등이 그 부위에 묻지 않도록 포경수술 환부에 페트롤륨 젤리(Petroleum jelly)를 수술 후 2〜3일 동안 발라준다. 페트롤륨 젤리를 바르는 대신 페트롤륨 젤리 거즈로 포경수술 환부를 며칠 동안 감아주기도 한다.

포경수술 방법에 따라 포경수술 환부 간호법이 조금씩 다르다. 퇴원해서 집으로 가기 전에 포경수술 환부 간호 처치법에 관해 의사에게 문의해야 한다. 포경수술 환부에 알코올을 발라서는 안 된다.

포경수술을 받지 않은 남아의 자지 끝 부분 귀두를 덮은 포피를 일부러 까서 씻어주어야 하느냐고 묻는 부모도 가끔 있다. 미국 소아과학회는 소변을 정상적으로 볼 수 있는 남아 자지의 포피를 일부러 까줄 필요도 없고, 포경수술을 해줄 필요도 없다고 최근에 발표했다.

사춘기가 될 때까지 자지의 포피는 자연적으로 정상적으로 까진다. 일부러 자지의 포피를 까 젖힐 필요도 없고 포경수술을 해줄 필요도 없고 그대로 놓고 보는 것이 자연적이고 정상적이다.

The tip of the boy’s cock is called the glans.

The skin surrounding the glans is called the foreskin.

After consulting with a gynecologist or pediatrician, mothers and fathers should decide to perform circumcision. Circumcision is performed by a pediatrician or an obstetrician according to the hospital care regulations or the doctor’s philosophy of care. Even if you haven’t had circumcision, you don’t need to deliberately remove the foreskin that covers the tip of the penis (glans), and there is no need for your parents to deliberately wipe the tip of the penis covered with the foreskin (glans).

Until the affected area caused by circumcision is healed, you need to take good care of your cock. Watch for bleeding from the circumcised penis.

Clean the affected area that has undergone circumcision, and apply Petroleum jelly to the affected area for 2 to 3 days after the surgery to prevent stool from getting on the area. Instead of applying petroleum jelly, petroleum jelly gauze may be used to wrap the circumcised area for several days.

Depending on the circumcision method, the method of nursing the affected area for circumcision is slightly different. Before you leave the hospital and go home, you should ask your doctor about how to care for circumcised affected areas. Alcohol should not be applied to the affected area of circumcision.

Parents sometimes ask if the foreskin that covered the glans at the tip of the penis of a boy who has not undergone circumcision should be deliberately removed and washed.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently announced that there is no need to deliberately remove the foreskin of a boy’s cock who can urinate normally and that there is no need for circumcision.

Until puberty, the foreskin of the cock naturally breaks normally. There is no need to deliberately open the foreskin of the cock, and there is no need for circumcision, and it is natural and normal to leave it as it is.
