Hemorrhoid during pregnancy 임신 중 치질
Hemorrhoids may occur during pregnancy due to insufficient exercise, unbalanced diet, fetus and uterus a-vein, b-internal hemorrhoids, c-external hemorrhoids, e-anus and rectal mucosa, f-anal
Hemorrhoids are a type of varicose vein that is caused by abnormally stretching and enlarged blood vessels in the inner part of the anus or in the lower part of the rectum. Hemorrhoids in pregnant women can be caused by a number of reasons. It is the uterus containing the fetus, which is usually caused by the compression of relatively large veins in the pelvic cavity.
Progesterone can loosen venous blood vessels.
The action of progesterone secreted from the placenta during pregnancy causes varicose veins in the anus and rectum, including varicose veins in the legs, to form hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids can develop for a while during delivery, even if teething does not occur during pregnancy When pregnant women with hemorrhoids stool, the anus may hurt a little and a drop or two may bleed.
When hemorrhoids are severe, the anus can be uncomfortable and painful. Constipation can lead to hemorrhoids.
When you see constipation, the anus with hemorrhoids may hurt, and when the constipation stool is defecated, bleeding may occur.
When you see constipation or normal stools, hemorrhoids in the anus may protrude out of the anus.
Care should be taken to prevent constipation during pregnancy. If you apply more force to the lower part of the rectum and anus when you stool, the venous blood vessels are pressed more, which can cause hemorrhoids to become more severe.
If you develop hemorrhoids during pregnancy, it is advisable to seek medical attention from your doctor. If hemorrhoids protrude out of the anus, it can be less painful by pushing the hemorrhoids out of the anus with a gloved finger.
Resting your hips and legs higher than your upper body position with one or two pillows and lying on your side for a while can reduce the discomfort caused by hemorrhoids and reduce the size of the hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids can be improved by applying a hot compress to the anus with a warm wet wipe or a poultice. You can apply hot compresses 4 times a day for 5-10 minutes once. If you bleed even a little from hemorrhoids, you should get a doctor’s diagnosis and treatment right away.
Most minor hemorrhoids that develop during pregnancy or delivery usually heal naturally after delivery. However, sometimes it has to be treated with drugs, etc.
Do not stand or sit in one place for long periods of time, and lie on your side as much as possible when sleeping.
Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles with Kegal exercises can improve hemorrhoids. Also, don’t forget to do your usual physical exercise. Copyright ⓒ 2014 John Sangwon Lee, MD., FAAP
