Anemia during pregnancy 임신 중 빈혈
Anemia can occur during pregnancy due to several causes, including iron deficiency, folic acid deficiency, bleeding, and disease.
Most of the anemia that occurs during pregnancy is kaleidoscopic anemia caused by a relatively low concentration of hemoglobin due to an increase in the blood volume of a pregnant woman by 40-50%.
The next most common anemia is anemia caused by lack of iron. During pregnancy, the pregnant woman’s blood volume is normally increased, and when the pregnant woman and the fetus do not get enough iron from the food they normally consume on a daily basis, iron deficiency anemia occurs in pregnant women.
If you take iron-rich foods and iron-containing multivitamins during pregnancy, you won’t get iron deficiency anemia. Nutrient-fortified foods containing liver, red meat, dried beans, green leafy vegetables, and iron, minerals, and vitamins are rich in iron. When a pregnant woman cannot consume enough iron from the food she normally eats, the pregnant woman should take iron or a multivitamin containing iron according to the doctor’s prescription. Taking iron pills can make your stool dark and hard.
Since children can get iron poisoning from eating the iron tablets that the mother is taking, make sure to keep them in a safe place away from children. In addition to iron deficiency anemia, other types of anemia can also occur during pregnancy.
When receiving regular pregnancy checkups, hemoglobin or fertilization tests are usually performed in order to diagnose anemia early and receive treatment.
Tiredness, paleness, more prone to infectious diseases, dizziness, and difficulty breathing. After anemia has been treated, you should continue to follow up to see if the anemia recurs.
If someone in your family has hereditary anemia, you should tell your doctor about it. Copyright ⓒ 2014 John Sangwon Lee, MD., FAAP
