Constipation during pregnancy can be caused by several causes, including: Under the influence of the progesterone hormone, the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract are relaxed, the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract is slow, the small intestine is pressed into the uterus containing the fetus, when you are under stress when you are not doing enough physical activity, food with low fiber When you eat when you don’t drink enough fluids, it’s easy to get constipation during pregnancy.
Treatment of constipation that occurred during pregnancy first finds out what is the cause and treats constipation according to the cause.
Pregnant women should drink at least 2,000-2,500cc of fluid per day. Before eating, drink one or two cups of water, fruit juice, vegetable juice, etc., and eat enough foods such as Donggali, whole wheat, or rice cereals, bread, rice, fruits, vegetables, etc., which are relatively high in fiber, to treat constipation easily.
Constipation can be prevented. However, eating too much food with too much fiber can make it difficult to digest, fill up gas and make your stomach swell. Such food should also be eaten in moderation.
Eating a few plums a day or drinking a cup of plum juice can help reduce constipation. Do not sit or lie in one place for as long as possible, and do the physical exercise properly to prevent constipation.
And it’s good to have a habit of seeing feces every day at a certain time and hold it for a long time and not see it.
