Identification of newborns
Put a name tag on the baby’s ankle
Print the soles of the feet
Before taking a baby born in the delivery room to the newborn room, attach two or more name tags on both ankles of the baby with the baby’s name, sex (性別), birth year, month and date, and birth time.
Even if one of the name tags you attached to it falls off, put multiple name tags so that you can see whose baby it is. Nowadays, in order to confirm the baby’s identity more clearly, the foot of the baby is smeared with ink and a chieftain is also imprinted. Copyright ⓒ 2014 John Sangwon Lee, MD., FAAP
