Labor stage I and three steps of labor stage I 분만 1기의 3단계
1. Early or latent labor stage
When delivery begins, the cervix opens and the ovaries secrete the cervix, which causes the cervix to become wider.
Oxytocin is secreted from the hypothalamus, which causes the uterine wall to contract. In the obstetrics of natural delivery, for convenience, it has already been explained that the first stage of delivery is divided into stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3, and that stage 1 is divided into three stages: the initial stage of delivery (latent delivery), the stage of active delivery, and the stage of transitional delivery.
Stage 3 of the first stage of labor can be accurately distinguished in some deliveries and not accurately distinguished in some deliveries.
All natural childbirth occurs through the first, second, and third stages of childbirth. In other words, the first stage of delivery passes, the second stage of delivery begins, the second stage of delivery ends, the third stage of delivery begins, and the end of the entire delivery process ends.
During the first stage of delivery, the initial stage of delivery (latent delivery) usually lasts longer than the active stage of delivery or the metastatic stage. And the cervix becomes thinner and the cervix is widened to about 3~4cm.
He explained that the pain that occurs at this time is mild enough that most pregnant women can tolerate themselves.
For reference, it is common to say that the uterus contracts during delivery, but in fact, it is common that the uterus also contracts and at the same time, the uterus also bends. Whenever the uterus contracts, it is common for the uterus to be pulled upward and the entire uterus to contract so that the advanced part of the baby in the uterus descends toward the inside of the cervix (birth canal).
Before delivery begins, the cervix, which was thick and dry, softens and becomes thinner. Just before the start of the second stage of delivery, at the end of the stage of delivery, it is common for the thickness of the edge of the cervix to become as thin as the thickness of the edge of a paper cup. For the first time, pain comes every 20 minutes, and the pain usually lasts for 20 to 60 seconds.
A similar type of pain can last 6 to 8 hours.
However, as the initial stage of delivery (latent delivery) of stage 1 continues to progress more and more, the degree of uterine contractions becomes stronger, the duration of contractions becomes longer, and the interval between the previous contraction and the subsequent contraction increases.
It usually gets shorter and shorter.
At this time, the length of the cervix becomes shorter and the cervix becomes wider and wider, causing mucus metastases and the amniotic membrane to burst. In the early stage of delivery in first stage of delivery,
Broraxin Hikes contraction may occur, back pain may occur, urine may be dry, and feces may be dry.
In addition, the pelvis and perineum have a lot of strength, the amount of vaginal discharge increases, and leg cramps can occur.
Whether the pregnant woman has health problems, medical conditions, transportation, whether it is a first or multipara, it will depend on personal problems, but if you are in the initial stage of delivery (potential delivery) of the first stage, follow your doctor’s instructions.
You can get ready to go to the hospital to give birth while suffering the pain. In the past, it was recommended not to take any food orally even in the initial stage of delivery, but recently, it requires a lot of energy to deliver, and it is said that you can consume a little light meal for other reasons.
However, each individual and as directed by a doctor must make decisions about food after delivery has begun.
2. Active labor stage
At this time, it is common for the cervix to be open about 3cm when performing an earthquake examination. In the case of childbirth in the first birth, when the active childbirth stage comes, the cervix opens with more acceleration than in the previous stage.
At this stage, it is common for the cervix to open about 1cm per minute. At this stage, the pain can last for 45 to 60 seconds once every 5 to 7 minutes for the first few minutes, then every 2 to 3 minutes for the first time, and the pain comes more intensely.
It can cause shortness of breath, faster heart rate, sweating, and fatigue. At this time, you may fall into a state of exhaustion.
3. Transitional labor
When the metastatic delivery stage comes, the uterus contracts every 2 to 3 minutes, and the uterus contracts continuously for 60 to 90 seconds once, and the diameter of the cervix is 8 to 10 cm wide enough to allow a baby to be born. At this stage, the degree of uterine contraction is the highest, and the perineum is more powerful than before, and urine and feces can be wrapped.
You can be very tense, sweaty, increase your respiratory rate, vomit, and tremble.
At this time, you may say things that you do not understand and may even behave strangely. Fortunately, this stage doesn’t last long and ends soon, and the first stage of delivery is over. Copyright ⓒ 2014 John Sangwon Lee, MD., FAAP
