Newborn and Car Safety Chair
Newborn and Car Safety Chair
After postpartum recovery, when the mother and baby are discharged from the hospital and go home by car, they must lay the newborn baby in a car safety chair and drive.
You must lie down on a safety chair fixed to the rear seat in the middle of the car before driving. In this way, when taking a newborn baby from a hospital to a house, or when taking a newborn or infant in a car and taking it anywhere, you must drive it in a safety chair prescribed by law.
Anyone in the car can be injured when a mother and a newborn baby are discharged from the hospital and a car accident occurs on the way home by a car, or when the car suddenly stops for some reason.
This is to prevent such injuries. Wherever you go in a car, children should be seated on their seats, depending on their age, and older children should fasten their seat belts.
When a car suddenly stops due to a traffic accident or something while holding a newborn baby in the arms of a mother and father, even a sturdy and well-cared mother or father cannot safely and well protect the newborn baby in her arms.
Seat belts for adults or passenger cars for older children are not suitable for newborns. In the event of a traffic accident or a sudden stop, while driving with a newborn baby lying on a seat belt in a car that is not suitable for a newborn baby, the newborn cannot be safely protected. When driving with a newborn baby in a car, you must use a car safety chair prescribed by law.
This is the law.
You must purchase a passenger car safety chair for newborns made in accordance with the country’s traffic safety laws.
A passenger car safety chair for newborns must be fixed to the middle seat of the rear of the car, and the baby must be laid on the car safety chair, and then fasten the car safety chair with a seat belt before driving.
The rear of the passenger car safety chair for newborns faces the front of the car, and the newborn baby lays toward the rear of the car.
To prevent the newborn in the safety chair from moving anymore while driving, lay the newborn baby in a safety chair in a car, and then fill the empty space in the car safety chair with blankets to prevent the newborn from moving from side to side. Copyright ⓒ 2014 John Sangwon Lee, MD., FAAP
